Deep Fry Bonanza - April 2004
" With its pounding dance ryhthm, thin, distorted guitars and
laconic vocals, "Health Department" sounds like a mix
of Q and Not U and Sahara Hotnights, and while these artists' hands
definitely show through the bargain-basement production it's an
enjoyable track indeed, definitely one of the better dance-punk
things floating around that phenomenally glutted market."

Smother Editor's Pick - February
2004
"Who are the donkeys? Why they’re seven bassists who
apparently do not appear on this album. Very strange. Their lyrics
are pretty out there with...“I want to eat your chicken sandwich”.
Well, bub, you better not come near my chicken sandwich with your
focused indie rock approach! This band are the atypical garage band
with a firm grasp of altered musical realities. Do I like them?
Hell yes. Do I like them enough to let go of my chicken sandwich?
No, never, but I did give it some consideration which tells ya something."

Erasing Clouds - February 2004
"If the collage cover art (Jesus crying in a cornfield) doesn't
tell you that this is going to be a strange trip, the music will.
The first song's an oddball riff on the blues and Suicide's electro-punk
with unlikely come-ons ("I want to be your couch potato/I want
to eat your chicken sandwich"), the second a country-jazz cousin
to Tom Waits."

Indieville - November 2003
"The music itself? I'll tell you, I was expecting some sort
of irritating, needlessly noisy hodge-podge of electronics and improvised
sound. Instead, I got a bizarre rock record with equal flashes tomfoolery
and brilliance..."

Delusions of Adequacy - October 2003
"Both tracks here are nuggets of really buzzy, garage-y sounding
indie pop that are really pretty catchy despite their weirdness...At
first, the following space-fuzz-drone-buzz guitar rail (of Hey
Pop!) seems out-of-whack for the song, but as it develops into
actual playing and notes, it gives the song's outro a bit of unexpected
oomph amongst the weirdness..."

Sponic - September 2003
" (Corn Crop's) Ween-meets-G.-Love-in-a-blind-alley vocals
barely have anything to do with the music, conversationally chiding
the listener with Tourette's-style outbursts and abrasive sound
effects. Fucking weird, and pretty good." 3.5 Sponics
